Ariel Wu

Ariel serves as Senior Accountant at Thrive Alternatives, overseeing financial reporting, period-end closing, general ledger reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. She brings four years of finance experience spanning external audit and corporate financial management.

Prior to Thrive, Ariel spent three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate, leading audits for mutual funds, private equity firms, and listed companies. She reviewed financial statements, assessed internal controls and investment valuations, and liaised with clients and specialists to identify risks and propose improvements. She later joined JD Group as Financial Business Partner, managing full-cycle accounting, EBS system integration, BI dashboards, and streamlining inventory and operational finance processes.

Ariel holds a Master of Risk Management from University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Accounting from Guangdong University of Finance. An ACCA member, she combines audit rigor with business-oriented thinking, bringing strengths in financial analysis, budget forecasting, tax compliance, and process optimization.
