Kelvin is a seasoned investment and transformation leader with C-suite experience spanning private equity, family office management, and business operations. He offers a unique dual perspective from both the GP and LP sides of the industry, with a track record of building institutional-grade platforms and leading complex cross-border transactions across the US and Asia.

Prior to joining Thrive, Kelvin was the Managing Partner and Head of Investments for a multi-asset family office, where he established the investment platform from the ground up and oversaw capital deployment into top-quartile private equity, venture, credit, and secondary funds.

On the GP side, he held leadership roles in mid-market private equity, where he led transaction analysis and structuring, specifically for acquisitions in the IT, cybersecurity, and business services sectors.

As an operator, Kelvin served as Chief Transformation Officer for a major industrial manufacturer, where he led change management initiatives to transition the firm to professional management. During this tenure, he spearheaded a landmark corporate carve-out and a strategic pivot toward sustainable production, securing significant debt financing from Multilateral Development Banks and DFIs, including the IFC.

He is the author of a case study for the Stanford Leadership Academy for Development titled “Strengthening Electricity Distribution in Uganda: The Role of Private Equity,” which analyzes the role of private equity and DFIs in emerging market infrastructure.

Kelvin has lived and worked in the US, Singapore, Indonesia, and China. He holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and a BA in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.

Kelvin is an Accredited Director with the Singapore Institute of Directors, a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and an avid golfer and skier.
