Mai Takeuchi

Mai has spent over 20 years in the finance industry, primarily working in Japan and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Thrive Alternatives, she spent a total of 12 years as a limited partner at Asia Alternatives and Wilshire Associates, investing in private equity in Asia through primary funds, secondaries, and direct investments. Before her private equity career, she held positions in the investment banking divisions of Morgan Stanley, Nikko Citigroup, and Deutsche Bank Group, covering Japanese corporates and government agencies.

Mai holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Economics from Sophia University.

She was born and raised in Japan but spent part of her childhood in the United States.
